Greater Princeton AYLUS Continues Math Tutoring for Kids (53rd) in January 2021

In January 2021, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) teamed up and continued teaching kids in the subjects of math.

GPA members Karen Yang (1/31, 2 hrs) Kevin Song (1/31, 2 hrs), Kathy Yang (1/31, 2 hrs) continued Algebra content. First, they gave the kids a check in question. After, they started a lesson with a warmup to simplify problems with restrictions. Then, we did some problems with adding fractions. Next we did a review game called “Kevin’s Wheel of Fun” with math problems from this chapter of algebra and the kids split into two teams to work together and then tried to win points through the spinning of a wheel! Finally, we introduced homework and we’ll be having class next Sunday!

GPA member Annie Miao (1/31, 2 hrs): This week, Annie had a review day for her tutee where they went over everything they learned in the past few weeks, including graphing lines using the slope-intercept form, solving equations, and different properties.

GPA member Annabelle Huang also continued teaching her students in Edison on PSAT for math.
