Greater Princeton AYLUS Continues Bilingual Tutoring Program (28th) in January 2021

The Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) students continue their Bilingual Tutoring Program in January. The program allows GPA members to provide reading, writing, speaking, math, and communication to their students across the country.

They had conversations over various video calling platforms, such as Zoom or Facetime, with students about topics they are interested in, such as movies, games, and school. Their bilingual tutoring activities included:

GPA member Catherine Feng spent 2 hours managing this tutoring program on 1/9. Catherine also taught her student Brandon English and Math for 1 hour each on Sundays, 1/3 and 1/10, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

AYLUS members Feiying Qian and Siquan Qiu teamed up to teach their students English through conversations for 2 hours on Saturday, 1/9, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

Elizabeth Jia prepared her lesson and taught her students English through reading comprehension for two hours on Saturday, 1/9.

Daniel He taught his student Chinese writing for 1 hour each on Sundays, 12/20 and 1/10.

Ruofei Olivia Mao tutored her student for an hour on Saturday, 1/9, from 1 to 2 pm, focusing on reading comprehension. She also tutored for 2 hours on Saturday, January 2nd, from 1 to 3 pm, focusing on writing.

GPA member Abigail Bao (1/8, 2 hrs; 1/10, 2 hrs) also taught her students in the subjects of English reading and writing, focusing on story-telling.
