Greater Princeton AYLUS Teamed up to Tutor Kids Math (32nd) on August 19, 2020

On August 19, 2020, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA), Kevin Song and Karen Yang, teamed up and taught kids from West Windsor in the subjects of math. The 1.5-hour class offered by GPA members Karen Yang and Kevin Song teach Pre-Algebra class to 6 kids: Kathy, Victor, Claire, Meisu, Claire, and Mia.

This week we continued to learn our Pre Algebra content- however, it was time to learn about geometry! We first checked homework from last class and answered questions the kids may have had.  We then began class by making sure kids understood what a point, line and line segment were. Next, we covered what angles were, the types and how they formed. We also used the GeoGebra Calculator Swift software to help the kids visualize how rays will create angles. They then did some problems on these angles. We also learned about the properties of the angles.  Then, we assigned homework for the next class.
