On Aug 08, 2020, Constellation, a nationwide gas company, formally notified us that our request for funding their Community Champions program was awarded.
Funding is an ongoing challenge and demand presented in volunteer activities AYLUS East Cobb Branch is engaging. I was actively looking for potential opportunities. I found out that my family is currently a customer of Constellation Energy Company and a community award is set up for a local volunteer organization by the energy company annually. I took upon the opportunity by writing up the grant application and filling out all the required registration forms. I applied for the grant to purchase additional 3D printers to support the branch’s volunteer activities.
After 8 weeks of waiting, the grant was approved on June 8th! Writing a grant application and being awarded for a good cause is a real life learning experience and the reward is priceless!
