East Cobb Branch Holds English Tutoring Session VIII on Week of 7/6-7/12

On 7/9, Terrence Xia from the East Cobb Branch participated in the English Tutoring Program and tutored for 1 hour.

This program’s goal is to provide English guidance to the elderly who do not know much English. Volunteers are needed for 1 on 1 tutoring sessions. By helping these elderly improve their English, the goal is to make communication smoother and life easier for them.

Our tutoring was done using Wechat. We learned from the alphabets to simple words that are frequently used in daily communications. My student as a beginner shows great passion in learning English and works really hard to memorize the words and phrases I taught her.

The tutoring sessions went really well and smooth. I enjoyed talking to the elders and I felt honored to be able to help and teach them.
