East Cobb Branch donated 3D Printing Shield Masks to The Local Community

On May 2020, members of the East Cobb Branch organized the donation of 3D printed face shields.

Because Georgia is suffering greatly due to the high number of COVID-19 cases, demands for masks has been high. Healthcare workers and caregivers are need of them as they are working diligently.

On May 11, The East Cobb Branch donated 100 3D face shield frames and 200 films to the East Cobb library.

As the branch was spreading word to the community about the 3D printed face shield they made, a physical therapist from the Pruitt Health of Marietta contacted the branch about their need for face shield. The east Cobb Branch was happy to be able to help out. On May 14, we dropped of 105 3D face shield frames and 300 films to a public location for the therapist to pick up. The face shield were brought to the Health center for workers and patients to wear.

In addition, on May 19, the branch donated 200 3D face shield frames and 300 films to the local Wellstar Health Park. The branch contacted the health park, knowing that the health park was in need of mask donation. Members brought the face shield to the health park and donated the face shields in the donation box at the front.

The Branch was happy to be able to help all around the community. The branch recieved several thank you letters from these areas to thank the branch for all their work to help the community. Members were proud to see their impact.
