Greater Princeton AYLUS Supports Plainsboro Public Library’s Teen Program Starting May 2020

Starting May 2020, Greater Princeton AYLUS (GPA) supports Plainsboro Public Library in making an online magazine for teens during the COVID-19 home isolation: The Teen Quaranzine.

Plainsboro Public Library is to publish The Teen Quaranzine twice a month. Each issue focuses on the various aspects of quarantine life and how it affects every one of us. In the Adaptation issue (May 2nd, 2020), GPA members painted a blue jay with a mask to show how we are adapting to this fresh way of life. In the Boredom issue (May 16th, 2020), GPA members presented their artistic anti-boredom ideas – Coping with Boredom pictures. they brought the vision of boredom creatively with a photo of “It’s All Good”.

By supporting the library teen’s program The Teen Quaranzine, GPA members helped teens to dispel any COVID-19 blues and reconnect with friends. The volunteers hope to show the unique perspectives on isolation in these unprecedented times.

Participants: Amber Yu (May 2, 1 hour; May 16, 2 hours), Donna Nagorny (May 16, 8 hours).
