Greater Princeton AYLUS Students Teamed up to Tutor Kids Math (14th) on May 10, 2020

On May 10, 2020, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) teamed up and taught kids from West Windsor in the subjects of math.

The 3-hour class offered by GPA members starts with an hour of prep for gathering materials around noon. Then at 3:30-5:30 Karen and Kevin teach Pre-Algebra class. The kids are being taught Pre-Algebra.

Kids taught online again, beginning with kids reviewing last week’s material and checking their answers to their homework posted via Google Classroom. This week was “Game Week,” because students wanted a chance to have some fun while reviewing content.  Students played math games through various platforms, such as Kahoot, Quizlet and Quizizz. The games were competitive, and the content was the material of the past few times, including how to solve algebraic solutions, clearing special solutions and other algebraic basics. We’ll be having class next week and more details to come!

Participants: Karen Yang (3 hours), Kevin Song (3 hours), Kathy Yang (3 hours).
