Greater Princeton AYLUS Made NIH Approved Face Shields for Local Hospitals in April 2020

Starting early April 2020, the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS (GPA) members have joined the SOMA NJ 3D Printers Alliance in Bergen, NJ to make NIH approved face shields for their local hospitals.

GPA members Maggie Yan and her brother Kenneth Yan worked together, using an Ultimaker 3D printer at home to make hundreds of face shields so far. All together, the NJ 3D Printers have donated over 13,000 face shields to help protect the frontline healthcare workers at Metro Ambulance, EMS, Tree House Cares and more in NJ, NY, and PA.

Participants: Maggie Yan (April 4, 3 hours; April 5, 3 hours; April 11, 3 hours; April 12, 3 hours; April 18, 3 hours; April 19, 3 hours; April 25, 3 hours; April 26, 3 hours), and Kenneth Yan.
