Greater Princeton AYLUS Volunteered at Doctor Zhuping Chang’s Office on May 4 and 11, 2019

Reported by Cassie Tammy Wang

Greater Princeton AYLUS (GPA) volunteered at Doctor Zhuping Chang’s office, located at 3 Market Street Suite 422. Dr. Chang, MD, is a famous Internist in Plainsboro Township, NJ.

On Saturdays, May 4th and 11th, 2019, GPA member Cathy Li spent 7 hours (8:30 am-12:00 pm, 3.5 hours for each day) at the doctor’s office, working with Tina, the nurse at the office.

Whenever a patient came into the office, Cathy was to instruct the patient to sign in on a clipboard. Additionally, Cathy measured the heights and weights of the patient, and told Tina the numbers so she could record down onto the computer.

Cathy also had the opportunity to measure patients’ blood pressures, and determined the numbers normal and abnormal for systolic and diastolic blood pressures. She watched Tina perform EKGs on some of the patients, and the order and orientation in which you put the “stickers.” She informed Cathy that EKGs are given to patients 40 years and older, and once per year.

Keep up your great work, Cathy Li!
