Greater Princeton AYLUS Junior Reporters and Art Editors Promoted Traditional Culture on May 1, 2019

Greater Princeton AYLUS (GPA) members are talented in bilingual skills, reading, writing, and art, in favor of Chinese and American cultures. Using their talents, GPA Junior Reporters and Art Editors continued “Culture Promotion” project on May 1st, 2019. They contributed articles in Chinese with art illustrations to a newspaper “Junior Reporter Times”.

Art Editor Sophia Chen spent 5 hours to make layouts of page A1 and A2, besides a logo she designed for a special topic of “Asian & Islanders Heritage Month”. On page A3, Junior Reporter Kevin Zhao spent 2 hours designing an interesting art illustration for one article talking about how much the author liked Chinese traditional food. On page A4, Junior Reporter Rebecca Yuan spent 2 hours designing a meaningful art illustration for another article, recalling funny stories that occurred to a little boy while learning Chinese. On page A5, Junior reporter Catherine Feng spent 3 hours to author an article about making a birthday cake to surprise her mom! As the Art Editor-in-Chief, Cassie Tammy Wang spent 3 hours to review the 6 pages of May 1st issue, making sure there were no typos and all layouts attractive to the readers.
