AYLUS Auburn Branch Hosted ‘Face Painting and Animal Balloons’ Event on 88th Iron Bowl Day and Donated Tips to Dream Court

On November 25th, 2023, the 88th Iron Bowl, an American college football game between the University of Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn University Tigers, was played at Auburn University’s Jordan-Hare Stadium. The AYLUS Auburn Branch organized a fun activity, “Free Face Painting & Animal Balloons,” on the lawn area before Samford Hall, Auburn University’s most iconic building. Many Auburn fans and children came for face painting before the game, and the children particularly loved the tiger balloons. We collected about $60 in tips from generous Auburn fans and donated them to support Dream Court, a non-profit organization that provides an adaptive tennis program for individuals with physical, developmental, and/or intellectual disabilities. Several AYLUS members volunteer for the Dream Court program in the Auburn community.

This activity took the volunteers 5 hours, including 1 hour for flyer and material preparation, 1 hour for spot reservation and set up; and 3 hours for on-site activity.

Our members who participated in this activity are Annie Bao (5 hours) and Will Bao (5 hours).
