Pearland Branch Volunteered at Old Farmers Market on Oct 20 and 21, 2023

Over the weekend of October 20-21, 2023, the enthusiastic volunteers from AYLUS Pearland made a significant contribution to the local Farmers Market held at Independence Park. Their involvement
commenced on October 20th as they took charge of measuring and marking the booth spaces under the pavilion, and proudly hoisted two flags at the park's entrance, setting the stage for a festive atmosphere.

On October 21, 2023, the volunteers began their day at 8:00 am, actively assisting in the organization of the Welcome table and the AYLUS promotion booth. They also played a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth transition of merchandise from vendors' vehicles to their designated stalls.

At 9 a.m., additional AYLUS volunteers joined in, adding an extra layer of excitement by offering face
painting services to the delighted children. The young artists skillfully painted vibrant flowers, rainbows, and a variety of animals on the kids' faces, leaving both the youngsters and their parents overjoyed.

Simultaneously, at the AYLUS Pearland promotion booth, the youth members went above and beyond by distributing captivating twisting balloons and actively advocating for activities offered by other local non-profit organizations, including the Light and Salt Association and Pearland My Play Club. They also fervently promoted the All of Us Research Program, effectively raising awareness about its significant community impact.

As the day drew to a close, our volunteers continued to demonstrate their unwavering commitment by efficiently disassembling the market booths and aiding vendors in loading their merchandise back into their vehicles. Their dedication to both the setup and teardown processes ensured a seamless and successful Farmers Market event.

In summary, the AYLUS Pearland volunteers left an indelible and positive mark on the October 20-21, 2023, Farmers Market at Independence Park. Their unwavering dedication, talents, and tireless
promotional efforts not only greatly enhanced the experience for all attendees but also served as
shining examples of the AYLUS spirit in action.
