On Sunday, October 15, Murrieta AYLUS members volunteered at local senior centers.
At Torrey Pines Senior Living: The volunteers passed out the noodles and helped the residents get started with their exercise. Stretching out their muscles and joints, the residents soon grew tired. Given there was no water, the volunteers passed out orange juice and parts of banana as a light snack to everyone. Helping some of the residents who couldn’t drink on their own, the residents were treated to a surprise as a different volunteering group did a musical performance. Afterwards, the residents were taken to the dining hall for lunch.

On October 15th, 2023, Murrieta AYLUS members went to play piano at their local senior center.
Members set up the piano and began with some upbeat pieces. Then, they switched between romantic and classical pieces. Seniors began coming in when they heard the music, some just stopping by the door, listening to a few pieces. They also talked with members, commending them for their hard work. Members ended with some modern, ambient pieces, which the seniors loved.
