Upper Manhattan Branch Hosts a Park Cleanup at Crocheron Park on 6/11/2023

On June 11th, 2023, the Upper Manhattan branch demonstrated its commitment to environmental preservation and community service by organizing a park cleanup at the esteemed Croceron Park. With a strong sense of purpose and a desire to make a positive impact, the dedicated volunteers assembled to beautify their local green space.

 

Equipped with gloves and trash bags, the volunteers tackled the task with determination and enthusiasm, aiming to address the litter and debris accumulated within the park. The focal point of today’s cleanup initiative centered around the removal of familiar sources of pollution, specifically soda cans and plastic bags. These pervasive items, often littered in parks and natural areas, pose significant environmental threats and require responsible waste management.

 

The group members’ unwavering efforts and collective action gradually transformed the park’s appearance, enhancing its natural beauty with each piece of litter they collected. Passersby expressed their admiration and appreciation for the volunteers’ selfless dedication, recognizing the profound impact they were making on their community and the environment.
