Dix Hills Branch works with Long Island Chinese School to bring the greatest learning experience to children on April 16, 2023

The Long Island Chinese School and the AYLUS Dix Hills Branch collaborate to give kids the best possible education. As teacher assistants, the AYLUS Dix Hills volunteers assisted students who were having difficulty understanding the lesson, ensured that everyone was on task, watched over the students during recess, distributed assignments, aided in speaking Chinese phrases, graded their work, and organized classroom chairs so that they were straight at the end of the period. Because of the relaxation the spring break, it was imperative for volunteers to provide aid to help to allow the to focus.

Later in the evening, volunteers helped the Japanese classes. 


Volunteers: Sara Kong (3 hours and 30 minutes), Ru Xue Jiang (3 hours), Lilian Chen (3 hours), and Ming Chen (3 hours).
