On January 21st, 2023, AYLUS Pearland worked with Pearland Chinese Association to host and set up a Lunar New Year celebration. At 11 am, the volunteers began decorating the auditorium, helping with setting up stage props and inflating balloons. At 1 pm, they began to set up the cafeteria festival, setting game area and tables in place for the participants to set up their booths. The festival began at 2 pm, where people came and showcased a variety of stands, including ones for Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese culture, Boy Scouts, snacks, SMILE, AYLUS and more. AYLUS members and parents managed cotton candy, popcorn, drink and snacks, calligraphy, game area, traditional costume photography, face Painting, balloon art and Chinese culture Q&A stands along with managing the information desk and tickets sale. Some volunteers dressed up in mascot costumes of a rabbit and a panda and took pictures with children until the festival ended at 5pm.
