San Diego Branch Continue the Used Book Donation Collection in Support of the “African Library Book Drive” on Dec 22, 2022

Project “Libraries with love” has been established after Project Butterfly successfully built 5 libraries in Afrian in 2022. The project “Libraries with love” will continue to build libraries in Uganda, East Africa in the coming years with estabilshed & dedicated EIN registration. This book donation event aims to collect used books and build another 3-5 libraries for K-8 students in Africa. To express endorsement of their actions, the AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the used book collection event on Dec 22, 2022.

The donated books were collected by our volunteers from their own families this time. By donating books, AYLUS hopes to make literature and knowledge accessible to all. With this book donation event, we also want to call out to our community regarding the importance of education, especially to those less fortunate than us.

A total of 11 boxes, 3-400 books are collected to support another 3-5 libraries, which will be established in Uganda in 2023.
