AYLUS Pearland Fundraiser at Old Pearland Farmers Market for SNCC on Dec. 17th, 2022

On December 17th, 2022 AYLUS Pearland members volunteered at the Old Pearland Farmers Market and ran a fundraiser stand for SNCC, a special needs caring center created by the Light and Salt Association.

The Old Pearland Farmers Market is an event hosted by the Pearland Park and Recreation Department on the 3rd weekend of every month for local small businesses to sell homemade food and art. Since the holiday season is approaching there were a large variety of merchants, such as holiday-themed bakeries, jam, salsa, glassware, jewelry, candles, and holiday decoration businesses. AYLUS Pearland volunteers volunteered at the Old Pearland Booth booth by accepting donations for Kidz Harbor, a charity that provides shelter and assistance to abused or abandoned children as well as selling clothing.

As an appreciation of AYLUS Pearland’s support of the event, Old Pearland Farmers Market assigned a free stand to AYLUS Pearland for its fundraising effort. The volunteers helped at the AYLUS Pearland stand where they sold items such as jewelry, cactus plants, and other items. Overall, the event was very successful and AYLUS Pearland raised over $100.
