Murrieta AYLUS Continues Their “Thank You Firefighters” Campaign (4th) (9/18/22)

Reported by Jessica Lu

On September 18, 2022, Murrieta AYLUS members Jessica Lu, Hsin Chen(Julie) Lu, and guest members, Sophie Chung and Nicholas Navarro (from RCA) came together to visit another two firefighter stations.

Members first met up at Riverside County Fire Station 95 located in Temeucla and were greeted by surprised but happy firefighters who cheerfully accepted the items members had brought. They offered the members a tour of the place which they happily accepted. Members were amazed at how much the building looked like a regular house, with a kitchen, living room, showers, gym and even bedrooms! The kind firefighters offered to let members sit on the fire truck, and members didn’t hesitate, quickly climbing into the truck and enjoying the seat.

Next, members drove to the 2nd station they would visit for the day, Murrieta Fire Station #3. There, they met a familiar face, which was the same firefighter they saw at Station 1 yesterday! The firefighters there were very pleased and thankful for the members coming to visit and bringing them some gifts. Members took a photo with the firefighters in front of the fire truck and then thanked them again for their hard work in fighting the Fairview Fire.
