This week, AYLUS Chapel Hill members have taken the time and care to wholeheartedly create special handicrafts to donate to Kits to Heart, which specializes in providing cancer patients with lovely care kits. After many hours of hard work, we were able to secure a good supply of 18 heart pillows, 120 special origamis, 55 heartfelt and encouraging letters, and many beautifully designed bracelets. We sincerely hope that these crafts will bring them joy and brighten up their spirits, especially during difficult times.
Volunteers participated in this event are: Luna Chen (5 hrs on 08/12 and 4 hrs on 08/13 for pillows), Kevin Chen (3 hrs on 08/12 for pillows and 3 hrs on 08/13 for origami), Chris Wu (4 hrs for origami), Alyssa Yuan (5 hrs on 08/12 and 4 hrs on 08/13 for letters), Stella Kim (2 hrs for letters), Matthew Guo (6 hrs for origami on 08/12 and 8 hours for bracelets on 08/13), Eric Sun (5 hrs on 08/11, 5 hrs on 08/12, 5 hrs on 08/13 for pillows), Nicholas Wang (3 hrs for packaging and delivering for June, July, and August)
