AYLUS Pearland Teaches at Light and Salt Association’s SMILE Classes August 9, 10 and 12

On Tuesday, August 9th, members of the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States of Pearland volunteered at the SMILE program at the Light and Salt association. One of the morning highlights was during the first class when Auggie was teaching the students a new exercise technique and gave a wonderful speech of appreciation to the AYLUS volunteers. The afternoon session was then taught by an LSA member, and the students learned how to make beautiful flowers on their paper.

On Wednesday, August 10th, members of AYLUS volunteered at the SMILE program at the Light and Salt association. An event that occurred during this session was when the students were learning how to construct buildings out of paper with the help of their buddies. Many of the buildings turned out fantastic! The students also practiced their Spanish skills with the Spanish teacher in the afternoon. Many of them spoke very well!

On Friday, August 12th, members of AYLUS volunteered at the SMILE program at the Light and Salt association. In the morning, the students learned how to make very impressive artwork with the help of their buddies. In the afternoon, many of the students participated in a game and had a lot of fun playing the game.
