AYLUS Pearland Teaches at Light and Salt Association’s SMILE Classes August 2nd, 3rd and 5th

On Tuesday, August 2nd, members of the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States of Pearland volunteered at the SMILE program at the Light and Salt Association. In the
morning life skills were taught to the class by Vicky and Sharon. In the afternoon, after lunch, art
class was taught by Frances using pastels. The day ended off on a high note with games being
played.

On Wednesday, August 3rd, members of the AYLUS volunteered at the SMILE program at the Light and Salt Association. In the morning, Nancy taught life skills through educational yet entertaining videos. Kara Li introduced the class to a new form of dancing that primarily utilized the upper body. In the afternoon, the students made paper chains of hearts, people,
butterflies, and ducks, as well as watermelon fans.

On Friday, August 5th, members of the AYLUS volunteered at the SMILE program at the Light
and Salt Association. Ethan Gao and Edwin Gao taught craft, Erick Gao and Eddie Fu taught life skills. Alvin Zheng and Erica Gao participated the games with the students.
