Chapel Hill Branch Participates in Booker Creek Trail Forest Restoration Project on April 16th, 2022

On April 16th, eight members of AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch continued to participate in the Booker Creek Trail Forest Restoration Project to help remove invasive species from public parks. As we know the invasive plants harm the native ecosystem of our parks and nature preserves, as well as prevent the growth of native species and threaten native plants. After two-and-a-half hours of intense hard work, we, worked with other volunteers together, helped clean up the invasive plants of the signed area nearby the trail. Our remarkable work has been highly appraised by the town recreation department and reported by our local press.

The volunteers that participated in this event were: Kevin Chen (2.5 hours), Nicholas Wang (2.5 hours), Luna Chen (2.5 hours), Michelle Lan (2.5 hours), Alyssa Yuan (2.5 hours), Zhiyuan(Jack) Xu  (2.5 hours), Christopher Wu  (2.5 hours) and Matthew Lee (2.5 hours).
