AYLUS Great Neck Branch Tutoring at Station Library 140th (8/27/26)

On Thursday, August 27th, the Great Neck AYLUS Branch had a productive evening at the Great Neck Station Library. Due to the gloomy weather and it being the last week of summer, there was a lack of students today. Nonetheless, the tutors and the few tutees had an excellent session. Olivia Kang and a student did a read-aloud with two different books—one being a chapter book and one being a graphic novel. Junlin Yu participated in some of the library activities with a student, playing a scavenger hunt with them; later, they decided to do some reading together. Ivy Li and Summer Lu together assisted a child with a book, providing the fluidity and pronunciation help when needed. The session today consisted of mostly English-based work, with all students finishing their work successfully. The next session will be on the following Tuesday, September 1st.
