AYLUS Pearland Halloween Candy Donation Drive to Support Churches in Mexico, December 12

After Halloween, many families had left over candies. At the same time, the volunteers from Churches in Mexico were looking for candies for children in Mexico as Christmas gift. Therefore, AYLUS Pearland collected candy to kids in Mexico, providing three drop-off locations to families who wanted to donate. Four volunteers have helped distribute and pack the candies into small zip bags. After the collection event was finished on December 12, a total of 150lbs candies were collected and packed into more than 300 bags, ready for pick up by church volunteers. The candies were sent to Mexico for Christmas and Día de Los Reyes celebration.

Although candy may not be so important to some people, something as simple as this can bring joy to others in unimaginable ways. AYLUS  volunteers are very appreciative of the opportunity to bring smiles to the faces of kids, especially during the holiday season.

Packing (1 hour): Aila Jiang, Richa Paliwal, Andy Gu, Kate Liu, William Sun, Mathew Niu
