AYLUS San Diego continues Humanities Challenge Camp (71st) on the Second Week of July 2021

During the second week of July, AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteers continued their Humanities Challenge Camp Program. The program allows volunteers to provide English/Chinese reading, writing, speaking, and communication to their students, and also to teach students history or foreign languages such as Spanish.
They had conversations over Zoom or Facetime, teaching students about topics they are interested in, such as movies, games, and school. Volunteers placed an emphasis on helping their students grow accustomed to speaking and writing in the taught language. Their language challenge camp activities included:

Haobin Cao taught Miranda Xue Chinese for an hour and a half on Saturday, 7/10.

Kyle Hou tutored Alice Yang, Linda Yang, and Alicia Xu on Spanish on Saturday, 7/10, for an hour and a half.

Ryan Hua tutored Darren Cui, Katherine Backues, Eva Mathers, Tristian Shi on American History on Sunday, 7/11, for an hour and a half.

In total, there were 11 participants in this event, with 3 volunteers.

The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 71st online Language Challenge Camp activity on July 10th, 2021.
