After working alongside Pearland Parks and Recreation to set up, decorate, and host the July 4th Celebration of Freedom Event at Independence Park, several members of AYLUS Pearland volunteered to take down the decorations following the successful event. On July 6 th , 2021, AYLUS Pearland volunteers worked for 1.5 hours from 9-10:30 am to remove the bunting, banners, and flags that were attached to the surrounding fences. They walked back and forth throughout the field and worked as a team to remove all the decorations. After the task was complete, the volunteers cleaned up the park and picked up any zip ties, plastic bottles, and other pieces of trash and litter lying around.
