Irvine Branch Creates and Hangs Up COVID-19 Awareness Posters around the Community in August 2020

Over the last month, members of the Irvine branch of AYLUS worked on, completed, and hung up several posters to give passerby tips to avoid getting sick and transmitting COVID-19. In total, 7 large-size posters were created and hung in places around our community.

This activity not only allows volunteers to get creative and display their artistic skills, but it also helps raise community awareness of our current circumstances and things we can all do to curb disease transmission. As of today, our county has been 3 days off our state’s virus watch list, a good sign that people in the community are becoming more aware of the disease.

After we received the posters whilst following safety and social distancing guidelines, we compiled and reviewed them, and finally hung them up at various places in our community.

Here are some photos:

Volunteers: Aditya Verma (3 hrs), Clayland Lee (3 hrs), Audrey Zhang (3 hrs), Annie Lee (3 hrs), Mannat Bawa (3 hrs), Megan Lai (3 hrs), Sarah Fan (3 hrs), Brian Song (1 hr collecting posters + hanging them up)
