On Tuesday, September 8th, the Great Neck AYLUS Branch hosted another productive session at the Great Neck Station Library. Although we had an unexpectedly large number of students to tutor today, we managed everything smoothly, and everyone got their work done efficiently. Olivia helped multiple students with English, helping them read storybooks with precision; they all finished what they came for. Summer helped two students with addition and subtraction; they worked diligently and completed the work with confidence, with Summer chiming in at times to offer helpful insights. Siwoo worked just like Summer, helping two other students. One he worked with explored mathematics of addition and subtraction, as well as grammar rules like different particles. The other student he worked with was doing AMC mathematics well above his grade level but still did it smoothly. Ivy also helped students with English and mathematics, focusing on reading and comprehending the questions. Lastly, Junlin helped 4 ENL students by testing their English levels and giving straightforward work to improve their English from now on. Overall, it was an extremely successful session, as AYLUS introduced more students to helpful tutors, and everyone had an awesome and fun time learning. The next session will continue on Thursday, September 10th.
