San Diego Branch donated KN95 masks to local hospitals for the second time on April 6th, 2020

Reported by Samuel Li

As of April 5th, San Diego has a total of 1326 confirmed cases and 19 deaths due to the coronavirus outbreak. Every day, there are 117 new cases. As a result, medical supply shortages in local hospitals have become severe, and some hospitals are beginning to use hand-made masks with limited protection against the virus. California Department of Public Information even launched a website to  collect basic medical supplies: https://covid19supplies.ca.gov/

On March 23rd, San Diego Branch raised funds and purchased 1,000 KN95 (GB2626-2006) face masks. On April 3rd, the supplies finally arrived in San Diego. They immediately contacted the local hospitals, and successfully delivered the masks.

San Diego Branch Made the following donations:

400 FDA KN95 (GB2626-2006) to Kaiser Pemenente Hospital;

400 FDA KN95 (GB2626-2006) to Vituity Inpatient Medicine at Palomar Health

200 FDA KN95 (GB2626-2006) to Rady Children ’s Hospital.

The people in charge of the hospitals expressed their gratitude to AYLUS for the donation.

In the face of this rare human disaster, volunteers have done their part to help local hospitals. The love and dedication of each donor is to protect the first-line medical staff from viruses. Let’s work together to overcome the difficulties!

Your kindness can save a life!
