San Diego Branch Assists with Second round of AYLUS donations to Hubei Hospitals

Reported by Samuel Li

The successful launch of AYLUS’ “Help Fight the Coronavirus” fundraising campaign attracted more support in the fight against coronavirus in China, the largest of which is the Intel Chinese Employee Network (ICEN). As its donation amount increased, ICEN began to work with AYLUS and ACCEF in donation allocation.

This is ICEN’s first attempt in donating to an NGO, therefore it required more collaboration and negotiation, not only in the release of funds, but also in the selection, purchase and reception of donated supplies in China.

Given that ACCEF has entrusted Wuxi Aifu Charity in the purchase and delivery of medical supplies, the additional participant added more layers of negotiation, exponentially increasing the complexity coupled with time zone difference.

The San Diego Branch met the challenge head-on, eventually reaching a consensus with all parties through diligent communication and coordination. The second round of donation consisting of $20,000 worth of medical supplies was quickly routed to Wuhan Hospitals, thanks to the previous smooth collaboration between ACCEF and AYLUS.

So far, the second round of medical supply donation to Wuhan Hospitals has been successfully completed.
