On December 21st 2019 from 9am to 11am, members of the AYLUS Pearland youth group performed in the annual winter talent show. Volunteers performed at the Landing at Watercrest, a new senior living location that caters for elders with Alzheimer’s disease.
Performers showcased various acts including talents such as singing, dancing and playing on traditional Chinese instruments- HuLuSi and Pipa. Additionally, current AYLUS members Kate Liu and Andy Gu served as hosts by giving performers introductions and informing the guests about AYLUS as an organization and the positive impacts it has made towards the community.
The performances enhanced the show’s diverse and special atmosphere. As the show concluded, all of the performers sang the well-known Christmas jingle We Wish You a Merry Christmas. As the performers sang, the audience joined in as well. Overall, the show was a true Christmas miracle that brought together the community into one united group. A group that shared the same light of happiness and joy.
