San Diego Branch organized 22nd English for the Elderly activity on October 6th, 2019

On October 6th, 2019, San Diego students of AYLUS organized the 22nd English for the Elderly activity. The goal of activity is to help elderly men and women from China learn the basics of English so that they’re able to use them in their daily lives.

Through this activity, AYLUS volunteers were able to teach 5 elderly men and women common English phrases and sentences. Not only were the “students” able to improve their understanding of and ability to speak the English language, but the volunteers also improved their patience and confidence through this event.

The following students participated in the 22nd English for the Elderly activity: Yufei Zhang, Jonathan Backues, Jerry Wang, William Lung, Nathan Wang, Nathan Yang, NingXin Sun, Michael Wang, Chengming Li, and Luck Qiao.
