San Diego Branch Organized 34th Computer for Kids Lab on August 4th, 2018

On August 4th, 2018, students from the San Diego Branch of AYLUS organized and participated in the 34th Computer for Kids Lab, repairing and cleaning electronic devices in order to prepare them to send to children of low-income families. This helps the kids achieve academic success through possible access to technology.

In two hours, the participants did the following:

  • Reset and prepared 140 Tablets for Distribution

 

So far, the San Diego branch students have accomplished the following since the first Computer for Kids Lab started:

  • Diagnosed, repaired, tested, or sleeved 3,069 notebooks/netbooks/laptops/tablets/desktops
  • Tested and repaired 74 LCD monitors
  • Diagnosed, tested, wiped, counted, and cloned 2,870 hard drives
  • Wrapped/folded, sorted, and packed 6,002 mice, and power cords/adaptors
  • Tested and Bagged 125 Speakers

The following volunteers participated: Chengda Li, Chengming Li, Eric Li, Michael Ma, Kyne Xie, Yaming Yang, Yawen Yang, and Spencer Zhang

The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 34th Computer for Kids Lab.
