San Diego Branch Organized 26th Computer for Kids Lab on June 29, 2018

On June 29th, 2018, students from the San Diego Branch of AYLUS organized and participated in the 26th Computer for Kids Lab to repair electronic devices and give them to children of low-income families to help kids achieve academic success through technology.

The participants did the following:

  • Wrapped & Cleaned 382 Power Adapters for Tablets
  • Cleaned & Tested 14 Monitors – Ready for Distribution
  • Scanned 200 Tablets
  • Prepared 42 Tablets for Scanning
  • Placed 104 Tablets in Sleeves
So far, the San Diego branch students have accomplished the following since the first Computer for Kids Lab started:
  • Diagnosed, repaired, and tested 406 notebooks/netbooks/laptops/tablets/desktops
  • Tested and repaired 40 LCD monitors
  • Wrapped/folded, sorted, and packed 682 mice, and power cords/adaptors

The following volunteers participated: Colin Huang, Chengda Li, Chengming Li, Andrew Peng, Joshua Trost, Emily Wang, Kevin Wang, Michael Wang, Mike Wang, Richard Wu, Eric Xu, Claude YanNathan Yang, and Andrew Zhang

The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 26th Computer for Kids Lab.
