The AYLUS Houston Branch Hosts Their 1st English Writing Class

Daniel Wei, one of the members in the Houston Branch, has opened up a new English Writing Class! One June 3rd, 2018, Daniel led a tutoring session for 4 young students! He explains what he has achieved in the very first lesson:

“We introduced ourselves, and covered the basic structure and layout of Expository writing, including Introductions, Thesis statements, Body Paragraphs, and Conclusions. Following each topic, we wrote an example by ourselves and had it read out loud and corrections suggested. At the end, we chose from three books to read Bomb, a story about the race to build and steal the Nuclear bomb, and then covered 14 high-level vocabulary words to use in the next lesson.”

It’s amazing that members of the AYLUS Houston Branch have branched out from participating in events to personally reaching out to as many people as they can within the community. We wish Daniel the best of luck and we offer our full support!
