San Diego Students Held Fundraising Campaign for Children Impacted by Harvey Flood All Day on September 9, 2017 (Day 5)

From 9:00AM to 7:00PM on September 9, 2017, more than 40 students participated in a fundraising campaign for Houston children impacted by Hurricane Harvey and the flooding afterwards. The students were divided into 10 shifts and each shift had 4 students. The students talked to customers who shopped at the Carmel Mountain RALPH grocery store.

Many RALPH customers had already donated for Houston at their churches.

One RALPH cashier donated $20 in cash. It is about three hours of wages. A high school student donated his $20 allowance of the week. A homeless man donated the only $2 he had.

The San Diego students solicited donations from RALHP customers, out of their love for the children of Houston who lost their homes from Hurricane Harvey and the floods that followed.
