The Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) continued chess classes every Monday and Tuesday for beginners along with Chess Tournaments on the first Saturday every month starting in October.
During class, the students reviewed a very famous 8 move chess game, and the difficulties if you do not play an opening right. After class, there is always time to play games against each other to practice the skills we have learned in class in an actual game.
Having learned a variety of skills, the students are improving their visualization, tactic, and position skills. After class, the students played games against each other via chess.com.
GPA will host our next largest Chess Tournament on January 2nd, 2021 from 2 to 3 pm EST with CASH PRIZE for TOP 5.
