On Saturday, October 3rd, youth volunteers from the AYLUS Houston branch gathered for a meaningful community project focused on distributing hand-held American flags to parade attendees in honor of local veterans. Over 3 dedicated hours, our team actively handed out dozens of vibrant red, white, and blue flags to community members lining the parade route to be waved throughout the remembrance event.
By sharing these iconic symbols of honor and unity, our members helped raise awareness for veterans’ sacrifices and fostered a spirit of gratitude across the crowd. This session highlighted our volunteers’ enthusiastic outreach, strong collaboration, and deep respect for those who have served.
We are deeply grateful to our host organization for coordinating the event and to our hardworking volunteers for their energy and dedication. Whether distributing symbols of remembrance, organizing supply drives, or supporting local service groups, AYLUS Houston looks forward to our next opportunity to give back!
Volunteers (4 hours): Eason Jin, Lynetta Jin, Robert Yan
