October 9, 2026, a group of AYLUS Houston Branch volunteers participated at the Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) in Houston, Texas. Our group of four spent two hours taking turns walking the shelter dogs, giving them exercise, fresh air, and some much needed one-on-one attention.
It was a really enjoyable and rewarding experience. The dogs were so excited to get out and go for a walk, and it was fun for everyone too. It’s a great reminder that even something as simple as taking a dog for a walk can make a real difference for animals waiting to find their forever home.
Volunteers (2 hours): Jessie Liu (event leader), Ava Fang, Evan Fang, Jingyuan (Joy) Luo
