On October 4, 2026, AYLUS Syosset held its sixth community basketball event of the year at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park (11791). Participants practiced basic basketball skills during the first hour, followed by group photos and friendly scrimmage games for players aged six and above. From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, participants joined an optional gathering, brought their own lunches, and played logic and deduction games without electronic devices. The event encouraged physical fitness, teamwork, critical thinking, and face-to-face interaction.
Youth volunteers Gary (17), Rick (16), Keji (16), and Danny (14) helped lead basketball training and organize the activities. Other participants included Dex (11), Vincent (11), Simon J (11), Tony (12), Daniel (12), David, Felix (11), Karen (14), Brian (12), Liam (12), and Hebe (13). The four-hour event promoted healthy habits, youth leadership, and community connections while encouraging children to spend less time on electronic entertainment.
