Monday, May 4th, from 17:30-19:00, Kawaii Wang and Ting Lan Chen went to Great Neck House to help in the Accessible Art Program
During this program, we helped students with special needs explore their creativity through art.
Today, we finished our Mother’s day project. Using model magic air dry clay, we made a variety of flowers and leaves. We first attached the flowers to plastic stems and then attached the leaves using a thin wire. Additionally, a styrofoam-based plant pot was decorated with colorful papers and a cupcake liner used as a Happy Mother’s Day sign. The finished flowers were then planted into a styrofoam-based plant pot. Volunteers helped students with the crafting process, guiding them throughout.
Each week is special since we did different fun projects with students. The purpose of doing this is to share our love with families and peers and to spend time with everyone while enjoying arts and crafts. This activity is really meaningful and successful since all of us paid effort in making art crafts. Everyone listens to music and chats while enjoying the program.
