On February 5th, 2026, volunteer members of Aylus gathered at the Great Neck Station Library for their bi-weekly tutoring session. The evening was very productive; the tutors and tutees worked cohesively to make the most of the hour. A plethora of subjects were covered, including math, science, and language studies. For instance, Brian helped a 7th grader with his French vocabulary and grammar. He also collaborated with a second student to cover a number of earth science-related topics. Siwoo assisted his tutees with math and social studies, more specifically, a school project. Furthermore, Linzi spent the hour coloring with her student. The pair worked on identifying colors using crayons and improving the tutee’s handwriting. Lastly, both Lucy and Jason fruitfully worked with their students to review science-related worksheets. Overall, the session was a major success thanks to the efforts of volunteers and students.
