On October 18, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., AYLUS Glen Head volunteers brought an afternoon of live music to the Glen Head Senior Center, sharing our piano and violin talents with residents. The performances offered seniors a pleasant musical experience and created opportunities for young volunteers and older adults to come together through a shared appreciation of music.
By volunteering our time and performing for the senior community, our members demonstrated how young people can make a meaningful contribution through their artistic abilities. The activity encouraged intergenerational engagement, provided residents with an enjoyable break from their daily routines, and highlighted the positive role music can play in bringing people together.
Through initiatives like this, AYLUS Glen Head continues to encourage youth participation in community service and the arts. We hope to inspire more young volunteers to share their talents, build relationships with older generations, and create memorable experiences that strengthen the spirit of our community.
