We set up a small table at the park entrance and invited people arriving at the playground complex to browse backpacks and scarves. For half of the event, two volunteers—Tingfei Li and Peijiu Li—walked around the nearby area asking visitors if they were interested in supporting our cause. While several people declined, a handful contributed—one even donated about $10 extra. We shared that all proceeds would benefit children’s hospitals. Using Zelle and cash, we raised a total of $55 by the end of the event.
