On Tuesday January 20, Aylus high school volunteers gathered from 6:00 to 7:00PM at Great Neck Station Library to tutor and assist younger students with their studies. During this session, Junlin Yu helped a 5th grader with vocabulary questions and english terms like synonyms, antonyms, and fill in the blank questions. Meanwhile, Summer Lu helped a student with earth science by reviewing a weather test, specifically about station models and wind directions. Ivy Li helped an 8th grader with earth science as well, focusing on high/low pressure systems. She also helped a 5th grader on rounding decimals. In conclusion, the tutoring session was efficient and benefitted many students with their studies.
