West Essex AYLUS members volunteered to teach Woodland senior center Chinese speaking residents basic English communication skills on the weekly basis. This event bridged cultural and language gaps while promoting mutual learning between AYLUS members and elders. It not only empowered seniors and helped members grow into more thoughtful, globally minded citizens, but also helped foster cultural appreciation and strengthens ties within the local community.
