Roberts Elementary is a public elementary school in the Houston area. On 10/17/25 from 4:00 to 7:30pm, it hosted its annual International Festival, where families from a wide range of countries set up booths with food samples, fun activities and games, and cultural elements for festival-goers to learn about and appreciate.
At this event, volunteers were assigned to various booths, including China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Palestine. From 4:00-6:30, volunteers helped with preparing food and drink samples, engaging the kids in games and activities, and answered questions that elementary students had about each country. From 6:30 to 7:30, volunteers participated in clean-up for the event. This included folding tables, taking down tents, and throwing away left-over trash.
