#Habitate Restoration & Community Cleanup Project
On October 16, 2026, the AYLUS Lake Washington Branch organized a community cleanup event in the Vintage neighborhood and surrounding areas, including SE 8th Street in Sammamish. From 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, branch members Eric Huang, Yufei Ye, and Arjun Rammohan walked through neighborhood streets, parks, and trails, as well as along SE 8th Street, collecting two bags of litter, sorting recyclables, and ensuring waste was properly disposed of.
The Vintage neighborhood and surrounding communities are popular places where families enjoy playing, walking, and cycling. We hope this cleanup effort will help reduce pollution, preserve the natural beauty of our surroundings, and promote greater environmental awareness and responsibility. Together, we strive to make our hometown a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful place for everyone.
